Phan Nguyen

Phan Nguyen is a Helsinki-based independent visual artist, filmmaker, and cultural worker from Vietnam. Phan’s artistic practice spans across lens-based media, performative gestures and installation. Their work seeks to examine different home-making practices and the realm of memories, dreams, fantasies, queerness and belonging under socio-political lens. Initiated from UrbanApa's mini-residency, Phan's long-term on-going project ManiQueer has taken up space in Outo Olo gallery and Finnish Museum of Photography. The project is currently on display at Titanik gallery as part of #StopHatredNow's curatorial collaboration and joint exhibition on the shared theme of Actions and empathy.
