Shirlene Green Newball, a journalist, blogger, student, feminist, activist, and Tv producer. Shirlene is Caribbean-Indigenous woman from the waist of America, which is a continent. One of her favourite places is the beach, where she likes to sit, hear the waves of the sea, and drink coconut water. 

After graduating from her bachelor’s degree in Philology and Communication, Shirlene worked with several women organizations. Years later, she moved back home to launch her career as a TV producer for different local programmes.

Shirlene's work also grew by writing for several magazines such as La Boletina, Maailman Kuvalehti, Suomi Nicaragua Seura, The Shortcut blog, and national newspapers, La Prensa and Nuevo Diario.

For over 10 years, she coordinated a journalist project with the Finnish Foundation for Media Communication and Development (Vikes). Here along with her colleagues, they produced short stories, reportages, and documentaries for radio and television.

Shirlene Green Newball on toimittaja, opiskelija, feministi, aktivisti ja TV-tuottaja. Valmistuttuaan filologian ja viestinnän tutkinnollaan hän työskenteli eri naisorganisaatioissa, minkä jälkeen hän tuotti useita eri paikallisia TV-ohjelmia. Hän koordinoi journalistista projektia kymmenen vuoden ajan Viestintä ja kehitys -säätiön kanssa, jonka puitteissa hän toimitti novelleja, reportaaseja ja dokumentteja niin radioon kuin televisioonkin.
