Julia Gentner (she/they) is a radical queer thinker, abolitionist feminist and intersectional climate justice activist located in New Orleans, Louisiana in the United States. They studied International Development, Human Rights and Gender Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle. Julia is the Program Manager for an organization, Grow Ahead, that partners with small-scale farmers around the world to fund community-led climate resiliency projects and an organizer with Southern Solidarity, a mutual aid organization in New Orleans. As an activist who whole-heartedly believes in the power of the people, Julia knows that being an activist is not about being perfect but about continuously learning, creating connections, taking up space and taking action to fight for a more just future.
